Peer Support Worker
30hours per week, some evening and weekend work.
NJC Scale 6 point 26-29.  £23,866 – £26,470 (pro rata).  Actual starting salary £19,351

 

Leeds Suicide Bereavement Service (LSBS) is a partnership project between Leeds Mind and Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service.  The project supports people in the immediate aftermath of a suicide and people who have been bereaved in the past.

This is an exciting project at the cutting edge of suicide prevention work, with an opportunity to contribute to the international evidence base for Postvention work.  The post holder will be employed by LSLCS and seconded to Leeds Mind.

We are seeking someone with experience of bereavement by suicide to work in a small team to provide individual, group and family support for people bereaved by suicide.  The post holder will also undertake project development, outreach and promotional work.

Excellent support and supervision is provided.
